The Kazakhstan branch of Genertec Xinxing, a subsidiary of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec), provided assistance for the local people with flood relief at the request of the local government, successfully rescuing stranded residents in late March 2024.

Many areas of Kazakhstan have been experiencing massive flooding for several months due to a rapid rise of river water levels caused by snowmelt.

Genertec Xinxing deployed over 70 pieces of heavy machinery and equipment for the rescue operation. Large-scale mechanical equipment was used to dig trenches for draining off floodwaters, while materials like gravel and sandbags were used to block floodwaters.

Genertec Xinxing has also repaired damaged road facilities and retaining dams and cleared flooded roads to allow access, helping rescue many stranded individuals.

The rescue operation was praised by local residents and reported by major media outlets, including Chinanews.com and Ifeng.com.
